Removing stock chips
Soft chips
The quick method to remove soft chips is to use an exacto knife to carefully cut the eye chip around the edges, getting as close to the white of the eye globe as possible.
If you plan on reusing or selling the eye chips, another method is to press a thin flathead screwdriver through a hole in the back of the eye globe and carefully press at the edge of the chip from the back. Push carefully against the outer edges. Don't press too hard so as to not press a hole through the chip. Slowly work around the edges until they start to weaken, and the screwdriver's flat tip begins to push through an edge. Continue until all the edges are separated from the globe. Don't be impatient and try to pull the chip off the rest of the way, or it might not remove properly. This is a long method.
If your fingernails are long enough (they don't need to be very long), another method is to slip your fingernail in between the eye chip and the and the globe of the eye mech. Slide your finger nail along the edge of the eye chip repeatedly until it starts breaking free. Don't be hasty to pull the the eye chip off, or it may tear. Continue using your fingernail along the edges until the full eye chip comes off. This is a quick method.
Hard chips
Place a thin, blunt object through one of the holes in the back of the eye globe. Apply pressure, and the chip should pop out. If it only pops out partway, repeat for the other side of the chip.
Some chips will not come out and require either drilling into the center of the chip and "cracking" them in half to remove them, or simply destroying the chips to get them out. This problem is known to happen with Sfoglia mostly, but most of the dolls' hard eye chips will come out with a fair amount of pressure.
Replacement chips
Pullip/Namu/Taeyang/Dal use 12mm eye chips.
Byul uses 14mm eye chips. (Also known as 'Blythe' eye chips)
14mm can be sanded down 2mm using 500grit sandpaper to fit the chips for Pullip, etc. Sand a little at a time, going evenly around the edge. Check now and then in the eye mech to see if the chip fits yet.
