Dal and Obitsu hybrid
From DollyWiki
The Dal (or Byul) and Obitsu hybrid combines the neck and torso of the stock body with the lower body, arms, and legs of the Obitsu 21cm or 23cm hard bust body. Advantages of this method include: use of the shorter stock neck rather than the longer Obitsu neck; no removal of wig, and no unscrewing and opening of the head; and no sawing the neck peg.
This method was originally posted as a tutorial by Yun on the Dollie Mixtures forum.
Materials
- stock Dal or Byul body
- 21cm or 23cm hard bust Obitsu body
- Philips screwdriver (not pictured)
Tutorial
Separate the Obitsu
Pull the upper arms of the Obitsu body, and the arms will slide out at the shoulder.
Remove the torso from the lower body by giving the bottom part of the Obitsu a firm pull.
Separate the stock body
Twist the stock body at the torso enough to reveal a screw on the back. There are two Philips screws on the back. Remove both of these. Jiggle the lower body until it splits open enough to pull it from the torso part.
Combine bodies
The stock and Obitsu bodies connect with very similar designs. Press the protruding bulb of the torso into the opening over the Obitsu stomach to fit it into place.
Press the Obitsu arms into the Dal torso at the shoulders.
Complete
The hybrid is now complete.
You may wish to re-screw the two screws into the lower stock body so the pieces can be kept together.
