Customizing is changing something stock for something non-stock. The most basic customization is to change a doll's clothes from their stock outfit to another fitting outfit. More complex customizations, ranging from easy to difficult, are replacing the wig, the eyechips, replacing the body, modifying the eye mech, and giving a new face up.
